What we didn’t see was The Last of Us 2 and Ghosts of Tsushima which are the titles that everyone is clamoring for BUT we did get a totally new Resident Evil game called Village and a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn called Forbidden West which was gorgeous and impressive. We got a look at some Sony exclusives and some great titles from third party developers which Sony has been looking to cash in on.Īll in all it was an impressive showing although at times it dragged. What we did get today at least from Sony was a full on and in depth look at what to expect from Sony early in it’s lifespan. Sony is still all about games and design aesthetics. While it seems that Microsoft is still making superior hardware and the entertainment hub experience paramount above all. Microsoft and Sony both have two completely different sets of focus in their approach to their next gen. Today’s event will ramp up the “console wars” as we get closer and closer to the official launch day which is right around the corner. It’s an exciting time if you are a console gaming and even more so if you’re team PS (I’m team PS). What we saw from the new games was not just a bunch of beautiful cutscenes but actual gameplay.

From the onset of their live feed, Sony showcased what you’ll be getting in terms of games on the PS5. Sony’s live event has officially come and gone and Sony did not disappoint.
